We've had no signal for days but have now made it to the foot of the looming barranco wall.
When we left you we were picnicking in the foot hills on day 2.
Since then we have had an almost constant view of the summit and amazing scenery. The standard of toilets has also improved significantly. Either that or our standards have dropped.
Its starting to get a bit PARKY though, especially in the mornings, with ice on the Inside of the tent. We got as high as 4600m today (that’s 15,091 ft in proper units – Ed ) before coming back down to a mere 3900m tonight for some KIP.
Everyone is still in good spirits and we have been freaking out our guides by singing and playing stupid games on the trail. Or rather some of us have. Others have been being their usual cynical selves. No prizes for guessing who.
We’re All in good health apart from chris who has been leaving a trail of SNOT on the mountain and DJ who managed to fall over while seeking out a classic cabi WEEVIL photo. But apart from that and a few headaches we are STILL ALIVE
