when the going is about to get tough - just go shopping

Today we all bought tat at a Maasai market and Diana met Victor who wanted to marry her and to have his children at which she made a hasty retreat from his craft emporium bearing only a pair of wooden spoons.

Darry met her nemsis, in the form of a moth the size of a house and turned a bit girlie (lets get this right - this is the honed law enforcement officer? – Ed). Goodness only knows what the hell she thinks she's doing coming out here when she doesn’t like bugs.

Our briefing from Julius our chief guide has put our nerves at rest - not! Tomorrow it starts for real: 8am (06.00 BST)!

But at the last supper this evening, the group on the table next to us had just got down off tut mountain and were merrily getting pissed: this will be us in eight days time.

So now lying here, trying to get off sleep but having to wait for Lulu to stop farting (caused by diamox) and really looking forward to being woken up by her sleep jabbering …
