Well as we haven’t heard from the girls this evening, this is what they should have had in store today:
Day Two - Forest Camp to Shira One
Hike: 7.1 km 2790m – 3490m (700m Height gain) 5-6 hours
Set from camp through magnificent forest areas to emerge onto Shira Plateau, the initial area where the volcanic activity of Kilemanjaro began. The scenery opens up to a more savannah grassland and the view across to the goal of Kibo is superb.
A lovely packed lunch is promised – and will be enjoyed.
